Last week my landlord, who was told by his insurance to clear out/cut down anything growing within 25 ft of the house, decided to just go crazy. These two photos show the difference between June and today
What the hell?? Guess the landlord wants to lose topsoil to the rain while increasing rats and mice.
@Graci Are you in an area where wild fires are likely?
@KarenSohne Nope. And what was they was green. I mean it's his property and he can do what he wants but it's so different!
@Graci lt does look pretty awful, can't think of any other reason for ins. co. to require that. I hope you have easy access to other green outdoor space nearby
@KarenSohne Definitely a few acres of woods behind us :) We're good there.
@Graci That's a bit over-enthusiastic methinks! It'll likely green up pretty quickly, but even so it's a bit harsh right now.
@Graci This year I've heard of insurance companies threaten to cancel other homeowner policies in NC, unless the homeowner makes a change or changes the insurance company wants.
