@misslovelymess I really like mine. The weight of them is a comfort, and they feel good, too.
@p3R1n01D I had to look out the window to make sure!
@Tattoomonkey29 @LnzyHou @Annothername @elbutterfield Up until she died, my mother decorated for Xmas. She loved it. Not a bunch of lights on the house, more little geegaws and chotchkies inside the house.
She died September 6th,1995.
I still got a present from her that year. She'd pick up little things throughout the year.
@elbutterfield Some might be putting up Xmas stuff in celebration *sigh*
Others may be decorating for the bit of comfort it offers them. I'll admit I do like to see them. Not the huge, over-the-top light displays where the blinking is synced with the music, but the less ostentatious displays.
They strike me as a hope or a wish for an ideal. Peace on earth, blah, blah, blah.
They are pretty to look at. I haven't bothered to decorate for years. 2007? 08? Maybe? I still buy some gifts, though.
@grrlscientist
I'm just glad Alex Jones can't have it anymore.
I wonder if any nefarious-type people were interested in buying it?
Pete Hegseth was removed as one of the security details for Pres. Biden's inauguration as was deemed an extremist because of a cross tattoo on his arm that was identified with Crusaders who fought with Moslems in the Middle Ages. His anti-Moslem sentiment is clear when he wrote in his book: “Just like the Christian crusaders who pushed back the Muslim hordes in the twelfth century, American Crusaders will need to muster the same courage against Islamists today,”

My good deed for the day.
Weighted Wildlife.
If you're feeling anxious, and who isn't? But your weighted blanket is too heavy or too hot, or you don't have one because ... whatever reason, try Weighted Wildlife.
These were designed by an artist with #anxiety. Just a weight on his chest helped him gain control. He designed weighted stuffed animal plushies to offer that comfort in a cute way.
I have 3. Wolf, fox, and raven. It even helps when my back gets achy.
@Maude It would be nice if he came out of his rabbit hole and did something before he skulks away. If that sounds harsh, consider that Jack Smith is in the gun sites because Biden didn’t put his foot up Garland’s ass.
“Is X’s deliberate unwillingness to fight disinformation punishable by law? Does it make the company complicit in the pollution of public debate?” the statement said. “With the new case brought forth by RSF, the French courts now have the opportunity to address these pressing questions, establish X’s legal obligations and hold it to account.”
So, don't be getting hysterical here...
“So I’m more comfortable that it was a single exposure and a more rare event. … More cases would have come to light by now if this was an exposure event that exposed multiple numbers of people, or there had been person-to-person transmission, which we know is rare with H5N1.”
Finally. It's been 12 years.
Whoa
She hit the nail on the head. Though if you look at voters, the Black men weren't as bad as the Latinos or white women.
@publickovacs How did she get into my head? Sorry voters and those who didn't bother. You all are on your own.
