The life of an editor: just finished my first editing pass on a new novel for one publisher on the same day a second publisher sends me a "can you please take a look at this ASAP" manuscript.
So much for taking a break between projects...

Also, the first book dealt with dragons and time travel, while the new one is about semi-pro football. Talk about changing mental editing gears.
