Question of the Day: If money were no object, what car would you buy?

@GaryPoole
1957 Morris Minor
Which would then get a newer, bigger engine (possibly Rover V8), improved transmission, braking, steering, electrics etc and wider wheels for better traction. Simple paint job.
Total sleeper! 😜

@GaryPoole Subaru Outback. I'd pay in cash. Great car and nobody would know how rich I was.

@GaryPoole

The most tricked-out/efficient EV in the market. Pearl white.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole
Since she is my sis, yes. This exactly. Looking for it now.
(I really was going to put this)

@CinnamonGirlE @GaryPoole

My son has hybrid EV. Incredibly efficient car. I’ll never buy a combustion engine again.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole
I have been car hunting myself. I am definitely getting a hybrid. And if it is Pearl White, even better! Although I am considering red.

@CinnamonGirlE @LnzyHou @GaryPoole red fades in the sun unless nowadays they have paint that won't do that.

@CinnamonGirlE @GaryPoole

I choose white for temperature control in the south. Lipstick red would be my next choice.

@GaryPoole a 21 window VW bus, with a Porsche engine (or electric) and AC. :).

@PurpleDragon It really is just a gorgeous car. Now I just need to win the lottery. 😁

@GaryPoole don’t be tall though. Those aren’t made for anyone 6’ or taller.

@GaryPoole if it were no object,
I assume I would be getting my money for nothing. In that case, I would not be thinking of a new car because I would be too busy with all the chicks I was getting for free.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole A specially built Ferrari V8, revs to 7000 400hp. Eh my car will rev to 7 too.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole I'm reading the article, I read one in Panorama, I must have forgot he jammed an 8 in that beast.

@MidnightRider @GaryPoole

That’s a no for me. Especially with an 8. But sexy as hell.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole It was supposed to be a fantasy experiment, not a "what would Ed Begley do". 😂 😂 If you can drop a million into a project car gas consumption isn't even on your radar.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole In a perfect world. Trust me on this Linds, no matter what mileage that car achieves? Anyone with a V8 in a boat (or two) is drinking gas in contrast.

@MidnightRider @GaryPoole

Mileage isn’t as critical as emissions. What good is a $1M car with no planet on which to drive it?

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole Well back to the boats they are emitting too. Write that guy's jewelry store and put a foot in his ass! 😂

@MidnightRider @GaryPoole

There was a time I would have drooled over it too. Born in Detroit remember? But after my van is gone, I will only buy EV.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole Well that's likely in all our futures, don't forget there are environmental impacts to these batteries that need replacement and the power generation to accommodate a switch from gas to electric. It's not always engine size either, my car is balls fast and it delivers 27 mpg on the highway.

@LnzyHou @GaryPoole Actually no, it has 7 gears and 7 is never in town but a recent trip made me fall in love with 7. I'm going to wager the "magic bus" is in the 14 mpg range.
