I still miss velcro sneakers. I also miss the days when having velcro sneakers was considered cool.

@MidnightRider They were totally cool for about three months in the summer of 1982, if memory serves. 😎
As I recall, Velcro sneakers were used by parents who didn't want to waste time tying their kids shoes.
Those same kids became teenagers who started a trend of walking around with untied sneakers.
Not as a fashion statement, mind you, it was simply because they didn't know how to tie their shoelaces.
