In celebration of National French Bread Day, the Question of the Day is: What is your favorite type of bread?

While I do like French bread, my go-to when shopping is the Lewis Nutty Oak bread. Very tasty. Great for sandwiches and also toasts well.

@GaryPoole I don't eat bread anymore but if they sell Dave's near you give that a shot.

@GaryPoole

It's a question of whether you want to eat tons of preservatives or not. I prefer bakery baked bread but I also buy a mass marketed breads like Sara Lee etc for emergency bc bakery bread will get moldy pretty fast.

@GaryPoole

Really good croissants made with butter. Crust that flakes and shatters, inside soft and yeasty with just the right amount of chewiness. Very short shelf life, although you can crisp them up in the toaster oven the next day.

Splashed out on the real deal from a local French bakery yesterday; beats the heck out of the fake, grocery store bread variety.

Bread bliss!
