Since I started working from home, I realized I was drinking a lot more coffee.
I figured I probably didn't need that much caffeine, so even though I've never been much of a tea drinker, I decided to buy one of the sampler boxes of caffeine-free flavored teas (I have never been a fan of "plain" teas) and see if I liked them or not.
So far, so good. I've found a few that were decent, and a couple that I really like. So I guess this means I'm a tea drinker now.
I'm addicted to Stash tea, especially the chocolate hazelnut (caffeine free) and the mint chocolate (has some caffeine, I don't know how much).
I switched from brewing it by the mug using 1 bag of each variety to using a 68oz insulated carafe, which lasts me most of the day. I use about 1/3 the tea and sweetener I used before. I make it in the morning, and because the bags steep in hot water for a lot longer I don't need as much. Gets nice and dark. ๐
@GaryPoole
I found something on the interwebs that has been working for me. I only ever drink one very strong cup of coffee in the morning. I've been putting a green tea teabag in my cup (which I put directly into the Mr. Coffee machine). As a result I've been losing about a pound every other day! Who knew this was so simple? I didn't. change what I eat at all, just the green tea in my coffee. It doesn't change the taste very much either.
@GaryPoole Congratulations!
Tip:
Buy ordinary decaff teabags and add *anything* you like.
Lemon and fresh ginger
or
Slices of apple with a cinnamon stick
Sweeten with honey if you like.
Wayyyyy nicer than the ready made varieties and often less expensive.
