Democrat Eric Sorensen declared victory early Wednesday morning over Republican challenger Esther Joy King, according to NPR.
Gov. JB Pritzker cruised to victory over challenger Darren Bailey, with the Associated Press calling the race for the sitting governor shortly after 7 p.m. when polls closed.
It looks like Rockford and Illinois definitely stay blue which is a very good thing considering all the red surrounding us
@duglop OH yeah! Sorry about that. I forget that Rockford is a big part of the blue of IL. My bad! 
@GamingGal I kind of figured you were overlooking Rockford I'm not taking anything away from Chicago but they have their own issues right now and Rockford is stepping up especially for women and that's really the only good thing about Rockford
@duglop I guess I kind of lump Rockford in the Chicagosphere since it is not that far away from it. I need to do better at separating them.
@GamingGal oh there's truth to that we get a lot of the riff Raff from there we get a lot of the crime from there we get a lot of the thugs and violence don't get me wrong that's why I said there's only a few good things about Rockford and the major thing is that they're stepping up for women
@duglop and us women in IL appreciate it. I am 25 years removed from childbearing years, but I have 3 daughters that are within their childbearing years. 2 of them live in red states, so I worry about them constantly. I am prochoice for all, as no one has the right to choose for another in regards to lifesaving healthcare. The world the repugnantcans want to inflict on others to have to live in is not a world they would want for themselves. But they are too dumb to see it would be theirs too.
