So I'm going to out myself here on CoSo. I am a former police officer. I need to address the reality of arming teachers. This comes from my level of expertise.

I was given the Distinguished marksman level (the highest, ie I'm a damn good shot)

The reality is 30% of rounds fired by police under stress conditions hit their mark.

Teachers would do worse. They don't train weekly, even monthly like police do. They are not cops. They are teachers and heroes.

Whatever you do, don't fake compassion! 😑
