I have had way too many male MDs treat me like this. It’s common that they see you as bordering on hysteria rather than an adult who knows what’s happening with their body.
I very often request a female Dr. my PCP has been a woman for decades. Trust them much more as they KNOW from the inside out what I’m talking about.
There is much disrespect of patients in medicine.
@NorCalCherylLyn it’s this kind of attitude and belief system that has resulted in old white Protestant men getting to sit around and tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. Is fucking outrageous.
@Gambit_1 it is outrageous! The pomposity of their attitudes is frustrating and enraging. 🤬
@NorCalCherylLyn one of the things they don’t tell you as a guy is that if you have daughters you need to have the talk with them about standing up to doctors. It’s scary.
