The #CoSoSec savvy among us absolutely are. Those apps are evil, but not quite to the same extent as TikTok.
U.S. based corporations are still beholden to U.S. privacy laws. TikTok is not, and doesn't give a flying f*ck about violating them to nefarious ends.
@kel Agree! there's also the fact that US based companies aren't subject to CCP laws that force companies to share data with the government upon request.
