Unfortunately, this has been a sad #CoSoCaturday because our sweet, little, almost-16-yr-old Mikey is no longer with us after 15 yrs, 7 mos. We had to make the decision to end his suffering from kidney failure this morning. We are heartbroken & miss him so much. #CatsOfCoSo 😿💔

Last night, I finished reading the super interesting “Breath,” by James Nestor, which is bursting with information on breathing, what we’re doing wrong (like breathing through our mouths, particularly when we sleep), and ways to fix it, as well as several breathing techniques that I will be exploring further. @Fiikus_goddess @Thumprhare Her ears are cute, even though they got that way through what I’m sure was a scary time for her. We had an adorable orange tabby named Leo - we adopted him from a rescue group that found him after he’d been abandoned outside and had ear mites so bad they crinkled his ears permanently. It was all part of his charm. 😺

Over the weekend, I finished reading my 3rd book of 2022, which was this frightening & fascinating book by Nicole Perlroth. This book should be required reading for all, including our own government, which clearly is not doing enough for our cyber defense yet. Given Putin’s war in Ukraine, this book also serves as a warning of what could come to pass sooner, rather than later. #JaynasBookClub #OpenCarryBooks

@dratino You’re most definitely not the only one! I mean, there are much bigger concerns of course, given that this is so awful for Ukraine, but I just don’t get how this word’s pronunciation seems to be up for debate.

This is a small and mostly unimportant point, but I thought the days of pronouncing “nuclear” as “nucular” ended with Dubya, yet I’m still hearing otherwise intelligent folks mispronouncing this rather simple word all over the place. Why?
