Unfortunately, this has been a sad #CoSoCaturday because our sweet, little, almost-16-yr-old Mikey is no longer with us after 15 yrs, 7 mos. We had to make the decision to end his suffering from kidney failure this morning. We are heartbroken & miss him so much. #CatsOfCoSo 😿💔

It’s frustrating, because Mikey is yet another of our kitties who ultimately was done in by kidney disease. This is after he fought for nearly 2 and 1/3 years against lymphoma and IBD, and he was still doing well in that fight until the kidney disease came on only 2 months ago and accelerated to end stage only within the last couple of weeks. Despite our best efforts to treat with daily subcutaneous fluids, it was all too much for him.
