I'd never heard this version of "Train in the Distance" before. It's one of my favorites of Paul Simon.
There's a good print of Lewis Jackson's masterpiece Christmas Evil (1980) on Archive so I might do a special holiday horror stream with it, Black Christmas (1974), and other films. Also, I'd like to do a stream of Bert I Gordon films. There's lots of great stuff on the internet if you bother to look around
I was obsessed with EC horror comics when I was a kid. They had started reprinting them when I was maybe 7. I was never a huge fan of Mad, but I did love seeing Jack Davis there, even if no one was being murdered. Anyway, this is a great little video that goes through all the major Mad artists. I was shocked to learn that Al Jaffee is still alive -- he's 101!
It's raining here, which is always a good excuse to listen to Irma Thomas!
I've see way too much Frankenstein over the last week, so I'm going to stick the rest of my live stream. I just found Tobe Hooper's under-appreciated Spontaneous Combustion on YouTube. So I'm going to watch that. Happy Halloween!
It's time for the two comedies to end the night:
9:25: Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
10:48: Young Frankenstein
Just for Halloween, a reimagining of Snuggles:
@hbnole and I agree that both of today's choices were lazy. See if you can get them! (Moviedle rests at 9:00 pm PT and Framed at midnight.)
For film fans, these two daily games are way better than Wordle. They are also free! (No paywall.)
House of Dracula is starting now. I'll admit, not one of my favorites. But two great comedies are following in just 67 minutes!
This is great:

Also, if you've never read Pastor Dave Barnhart's quote about "support" for the unborn, It's amazing:

The Frankenstein stream continues on. We are right at the end of Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman. Next up:
7:07: House of Frankenstein
8:18: House of Dracula
9:25: Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
10:48: Young Frankenstein
If you tried to watch Young Frankenstein last night and found that it was in Spanish, well, it's in English tonight!
