Finally started running (let's be real...jogging...slowly) again this weekend. It's been two months of hiatus dealing with the kidney stone, so of course it feels like starting over. Everything is sore. It feels great! #backontrack

@Selcoeurl They have excellent flavor and they were incredibly easy to grow. My orange carrots are minuscule by comparison. My wife is not entirely a fan of eating purple dishes (and any dish you put these in is definitely going to be purple), but she's adjusting.

In case you were wondering, a ureter stent is a wire about 8 inches long that spans from the kidney into the bladder. And now I understand why it was so uncomfortable. Good riddance.

Stent removal day! This thing is maddening. I'll be so happy to have it gone.

@NCBookaholic I'm in North Mecklenburg so I'm in a solid republican area on the edge of a giant blue dot. It's a decent mix but some of the crap you read from your neighbors on nextdoor will make you want to pull your hair out.

@NCBookaholic I've only lived here five years but I come from small town Texas and NC is very similar. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did. It also wouldn't surprise me if they were covering for whoever did this. It's laughable that she claims to know what happened and then when they talk to her they come back with oh no she doesn't know anything. Suuuuuuure.

@rpardee My dad said a loose connection could cause that. It was well tucked away so either it has been loose since installation, it loosened itself over time, or something else caused that.

@kerrywth I am an engineer. Unfortunately, I am the contract labor :) My employer needs to hire and they've been trying but the bodies just aren't there or they are there but they're not at the level they need to be at to lead or at least work independently on this kind of project. Our middle tier is basically missing. Many of them went elsewhere during the pandemic and those who remained had to graduate to the senior tier to replace those who retired. It's an industry-wide struggle.
