@Helical_Code would you use the same spindle weight to 2 ply as you used to spin your singles?
@Foxthorn
Wow! Very even. So you are doing a two ply with these? As a way of controlling the tension for spindle plying, I tend to favor making a plying ball.
@Helical_Code this will be my second 2ply with these colors. The first was very chonky. I'm curious to see how this one turns out.
@Helical_Code LOL completely unintentional as my spinning is evolving. I did try (unintentionally) to ply a z twist with an s twist yarn...THAT was fun.
@Helical_Code I created a huge mess and I was determined not to lose yarn so I sat on the floor and untangled it. Doggo #1 tried to help... #nothelpful
@Helical_Code and then I labeled the s and z directions on my whorls.
@Foxthorn
Oh dear! Doggos are so enthusiastic, even when inconvenient.
@Helical_Code I'm pretty sure Doggo #1 has pica as I've witnessed her eat rocks and bars of soap and dirt and all sorts of weird stuff. This is why I don't roll yarn into balls that she might find. She WILL eat it. Obstruction surgery #2 is not high on my list of things to experience.
@Foxthorn One obstruction surgery is more than enough! My SIL's great dane decided to chomp a small ball at the dog park - not good in the same direction.
@Helical_Code Doggo #1's obstruction was also due to a ball. She popped it open to get to the squeaker and the little rubber plug got stuck just above her colon. It made a very effective stopper
@Foxthorn
I think everyone does that once!
In biology, you get what we call supercoiling.
