With every influx of Newnauts I see a lot of behavior and posts clearly designed to perpetuate negative cycles, stir up anger, and encourage engagement with that anger.

Many of us came from abusive social spaces and sought peace and refuge from those spaces. And yet … not all of us brought that negativity with us into this garden.

Spreading your negativity into a new space full of other people who are struggling with their own healing is a choice you're making to be disrespectful to others.

I can now see how destructive the “quote tweet” feature was. Instead of engaging with the person who tweeted, people engaged with their own audiences instead, often creating more conflict than communication. #TwitterMigration

I think of CoSo as a giant ongoing potluck--folks have been setting the table and bringing their best for years. Everyone passes the dishes, shares what they have, & people get what they need. Squabbles happen but the cordial tone of the meal endures.

When others join in, the spirit continues. It's lovely. Happy to share.

Until someone arrives, demands the best dishes, berates the food quality, and complains.

There's space at the table. Just...learn and share. Bring a little grace.

@LnzyHou Yup, I'm right with you there and I, too, am having my patience tested by the whining. Mute, block, report as needed ... I had to block and report a clown who smacked me with some of the worst vitriol I've experienced since my Navy days. I mean, it was just ugly.
