I have been accused of bullying magats, of being unkind and unfair to them on the bird. I have thought about this and now wish to unreservedly apologise to any of them who were offended by my replies. I honestly didn't realize they could read.
@Florence I agree, in that I don't think there's a need to be rude, either ... but some of us are not wired for civilised behaviour, it seems ... well, we know what to do about THAT around here, yeah?
Day 1 of 5 days off from work.
I wonder why the coffee tastes so divine. Correlation? ☕

I agree with the fact that it’s a stressful time.
Strange outlet when so many actual issues exist to whine about something, in the scheme of things like life, is insignificant.
(No offense at all to Jester who’s working his bum off to give us all this).

Our 💔 hearts can begin to heal. We were at the brink. Gen Z and women pulled us back.
Let’s finish the job in GA on Dec 6. Contribute to Warnock today. GQP will throw millions at this runoff.
@Florence Well, it's also a strange time now ... elections may not have gone the way some of them wanted, the hollerdays are coming, things just aren't right with the world (and not likely to be) ... not making excuses for crap behaviour, crap is crap after all, but I can understand where some of it is coming from, at least.
It's just human nature. No one wants to feel uninformed and vulnerable. You don't walk through a rough neighborhood looking lost, and they are used to walking through a very rough neighborhood.
I hionestly don't 'get' why new people come here and the very first thing they do is huff and puff, and sigh, and moan 'why can't I do this' or 'why haven't you done that'. It's just rude.
It's like meeting someone for coffee and when you turn up they say 'man, I hate your outfit, you are 2 seconds late, I never really liked you anyway' and then leaving.
People are odd!
Dolly Parton Awarded $100 Million by Jeff Bezos

The legendary singer is the third recipient of the vaguely titled “Courage and Civility Award,” following Chef José Andrés and Van Jones
Sigh. uggghhhhhhhhhhhhh
If you had told me even in *20fucking20*, not to mention 10 years ago, that Herschel Walker was running for Senate, and that millions of people VOTED FOR HIM I would have laughed and laughed and laughed, and laughed, and then sneakily tried to hide your car keys, but of course I would have gotten you safely home, or let you stay in the guest bedroom.
Yet here we are.
Rev. Warnock had better win. That's all. I think he really has, but you never know.
Q: Was Emily Dickinson afraid of spiders?
A: Well, I don't really know; however a very adorable moment last night between our new kitten, our friend's sweet dog Trixie, and a daddy long leg spider (I'll write about that incident later) called to mind the opening lines of Dickinson's poem "Alone and in a circumstance" (F1174) -- a wry & whimsical description of the poet's encounter with a spider.
I'll post the opening lines below in a reply to this post.
