I'm off to the hospital today for the latest cancer scan results which are not good apparently. Ho hum. I'm now at the point where I am not particularly interested in hearing them as it won't change the ultimate outcome. But, regardless, I prefer to know!
@Mrysdale I'm sorry you lost both parents to this hateful disease,I really am. Thank you too. I'm OK, but I dislike this endless 'jollying along' that folk do. I will die of this cancer as it's not curable and I'm OK with that. However, the myth that 'all pain can be controlled' is just that, a myth. It can be managed, but rarely controlled. I have a great palliative team, and great analgesia etc., but I still have awful pain which tires me out and irks me! But thank you. xx

Reach out if your IRL support is not enough. Both my parents passed from cancer, 33 years apart. I have my own notions about this life and the next.
