The groom will now work in the states for several months while he waits for the proper paperwork to be developed.

Well, had a good 3day vacay. Hot Springs, and a wedding reception. The title "wife verification event" has something to do with the fact that the (u.s.) groom married the (polski) wife in Poland then left to come back to the states without realizing he did not have the proper "green card" to return with his wife in 2 days from now. The bartender behind the sign was a wonderful woman who took care of us all for tips.

Yeah and the few days before that I got some new copper plumbed into the utility sink in the basement. Another project that took every tool. They all do. I don't know why I expect any different.πŸ€”πŸ˜„

Well got half of it fit, a little tear off in the morning and fit the rest. Ooch, my back!

A Rumargarita, 600 Ibuprofen, small bit of gummy, a puff or two, and a yummy tangerine creamsicle and my back isn't such a bother. 😎

@LnzyHou bigger because I let it go too long and I've got some rotted joists that I need to cut off and replace parts of. 🫀

Friday I started tearing off the old (14 yr.) balcony decking. Yesterday I went for a sail on the lake with friends, this morning I hauled up the new 3/4 marine plywood sheets. This afternoon when the shade comes will cut and fit. Then I have EPDM rubber to lay...that's a new process for me. I'm short on working days B4 I leave for PR for 5 weeks, so it likely wait for final EPDM install til October.

@amarand
1:50 probably. I have been lax as well, being multiply poked. Should probably get another before I travel again.

@amarand
True, and I enjoy cooking for myself, but going out to eat/drink is more than eating. It's social time too, especially eating "alone" at the bar, vs. table. I do, and we have folks who come in regularly to eat, have a drink, and chat with folks. Even couples. 🍽️ πŸ₯‚ πŸ”

@MLClark
Thanks. I am not the same person I was.
And I'm not sure if that's OK. But I will keep on.
Even though sometimes...
WTF, people?
is a touchstone to sanity.

we laid off all our wait staff and kitchen staff and I cooked while my partner delivered food. A little while later we hired them back again, thank goodness because my cooking didn't really make our chef happy, and then we laid them all off again. Whee! 🫀

@Ironworker229
Yep...and I'm a lot older than I think I am. πŸ˜†

@Bliss
Yeah I figured it was something complex like that, but the limit of my info on it is "shit's bad when Mars is in retrograde". And it's hot.πŸ₯΅

@Ironworker229
Well we did have a heat advisory going all day I just noticed.

@Ironworker229
Christmas style Tamale and fried egg for breakfast this morning. πŸ‘
Grilled Brats w/peppers and onions for dinner. I haven't lost my appetite, just some motivation. πŸ˜‰

I feel like I've just surrendered the last 3 days. Even though I got a lot of necessary online and bookkeeping and planning done, I didn't get any of my usual project things to happen. Maybe it's just because it's hot. I don't usually get a 3-day mood going though. The spark will come. It always does. I don't think I'm suffering depression, but not doing anything on my list does make me depressed. 🫀

Some days I can't get shit done...
Other times I'm productive as hell.

@VirginMaryCandle
😟 Well that sux, right there. I don't care what the job was. But...change can be good. Just a bit scary. Sending all the good luck vibes your way. 🀞🩡

@DavidSalo
They've been doing that since he backed Biden. They just are hugely disappointed with him. I worked my ass off for Bernie and have met him a couple of times and I couldn't be more proud of him. Most of the liberal shit we're talking about now is only in play because of him.
