The media - are not what they once were. Negative news brings clicks, first out the door gets the clicks, in-depth (even minimally) coverage is time consuming and expensive. It's the internet now, not daily, weekly or monthly deadlines, but minutes.
@Motorod
Interesting and good info. Article dates from 2019.
@wolfwoman
Well that was wonderful. It really helped me keep my attention on the piece instead of drifting off into other thoughts while the song played in the background. Thank you!

The knock-on effects on the local economy from park closure are not insignificant. Tourists contribute on the order of $50,000/day to the Estes Park area IIRC.
@Superstitionsee
Seems likely. Hard to turn down when the universe is so deliberate in it's actions. ππ±

She is, she is chill and elegant.
@b4cks4w
This one is very much a chill cat. But I've heard they can be fierce or maybe just fearsome for their size?
Bengal Qat update: Vet scanned, breeder contacted as no owner data turned up. Breeder looked up in his database and finds that original purchaser of kitty gave bad info. No way to contact. Kitty born 7/31/17. Breeder pissed that cat was declawed. Said I can keep her, or he would send his daughter to pick her up. My CatLady friend will continue looking locally for her latest owner, even if not the original. We wouldn't put her back with them now anyway or whoever the ones that had her declawed.

This is the way. Also, vote.gov will direct you to your state voter registration website.

Yes, that's it! I knew it was something besides Leopard or Bengal. But yes they're called Bengal cats, and Bengals are tigers, and tigers are striped, so... whatever. π
@AmserJ
That's what my CatLady friend says, but she's also the one who will come over shortly and help take her to the vet. I can not get attached, as I am sure she is chipped. I hear these are sought-after cats, and even stolen.
I've officially been catted.
2 days of coming in and out and chose this morning to come up to my lap.
But taking her to the vet today to see who she's chipped with and get her back home. #Caturday
@AmserJ
This one was not hard to catch. It caught me, obviously, and has now decided that my clothes pile chair is the place to be.
She is slender, but not skinny, so much as I can tell. Fur is clean and nice. She stayed for an extended body skritching while on the floor, that's when I could check her claws. She has her rear claws.
