I just had a Medicare eye exam. Costco. One a year, just for optometry, not Opthalmology. (?) Like we'll put glasses on you, but take care of any problems you got? Nah, that'll be extra. At least that's how I remember it. And remember I've got Medicare. My memory might not be complete. π

I've gone through and looked at all these leaf posts. They're wonderful, but in none of them is there a source posted? Did you do these?
Why would a person *not* engage in property crimes when trapped by poverty? They can't make a living wage, they can't afford the vehicle they need for a job, and the only lenders who will "help" charge usurious interest.
If you *do* manage to start to claw you way out, one unlucky moment will pull you back down. The government will claw back its aid, leaving you worse off than you were before.
When the system is entirely rigged against you, why would you bother attempting to work within it?

He should already be shutting bases in those states.
@CJLavoie
Agree, and posted the same a few days ago. I think we all agree. Thx for bringing it up.

Well at least zoom works. I have a monthly meeting with teams and we've been trying to get it sorted for months and it always sucks. Some people can chat. Some people can't. I'll go to the chat in teams but it won't be the right one. It'll be from a meeting 6 months ago. Somebody else can't log in correctly. I'll join an old meeting...
@ImagineThat
Disgusting thread, I'll have you throbbed for that.
Morning update - life at Casa Amarilla Puerto Rico. Crazy neighbor Hector just knocked on my door and told me there were listening devices. He could sense them from his house.
Said they might be in my headphones - that I don't have.
Just listening to music on my laptop that isn't even hearable across the room, let alone thru a brick wall across the street.
He shouts at non-existent people in the middle of the night.
So a crazy person is worried about me and looking after me. π΅βπ«
@POOetryma good morning π
Up too early also.

Well I miss-quoted that first line but here's what I was thinking of. Guy Clark and Emmylou Harris: I don't love you much, do I?
This song is always brought tears to my eyes and should I ever get married it's the one I would play.

Observer: Post 4:20 driving somebody else's car after sunset with sunglasses because you forgot your clear lenses while composing SM posts and while doing a bit of barhopping is a bit of the fear and loathing life Jack, good luck with that.
Jack: My luck's held so far. And I'm pretty much the oldest guy I see around here.
Be like Jack.
