@MrGoat I think dark walnut? I paid a handyman to rehabilitate the door, three years ago, and it didn't last long.

The sun is brutal. The next door must be resilient and resistant more than authentic.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN should be easy to tear out old door and frame down existing opening to new door height and add finish to exterior and interior to match existing. =) Find you a good contractor to do it =)

Good thinking, but two thoughts; whether house would look right with a smaller door and; if you get a contractor to tear it out and frame it in and install a new door. It may be as much as buying or having built a 10-ft door.
