I have not watched Jon Stewarts eulogy for his dog. I don't think I could take it. I'm tearing now just thinking about it.
I could handle both of my parents' death in old age. Because it was appropriate. It was the way of things.
Losing a companion like your dog just sucks. A lot. And we have to go thru it so many times and it never gets easier.

March 9, 2024, my Abby will be gone a year. The pain is starting to abate but I’ll never fully heal.
She was my daughter from another mother.

@FireMonkey If it's the bit he did on The Daily Show, I saw that and it hurt. However, I will commend him that it took some damn strength to go on TV and say all that about his dog, trying not to break down and just bawl.
