Meta's Threads is shrinking. They are now only 3.5x of CoSo user base.
"Despite a record-breaking start in its first weeks of launch, engagement with Meta's Threads app continues to plummet. According to Similarweb, engagement is down 79% from a high of 2.3 million active users in early July to 576,000 as of August 7th. The Guardian reports"
Good things usually take time.
Great things take longer.
And holy shit. Think about the resources Meta/IG have had to throw behind Threads.
Fads die quickly, thankfully. ✨️
@FireMonkey Because 👏 we👏 are👏 tired👏 of👏exploitive 👏 social👏media 👏 platforms!!!👏 👏 👏
How much clearer can we be at this point?
@FireMonkey what are you referring too? Who is meta????
Lol
@FireMonkey Just a guess, but when Threads went live, EVERYONE who is an "influencer" or even runs accounts to help educate people, on other platforms? They all jumped on to Threads ASAP. Just so they wouldn't be left behind. Then when they saw it was mostly just them (that it wasn't really extending their reach), I think (this is the "guess" part, but based on observation) they backed away and went back to their usual platforms. I think that's a huge part of the lost "engagement". YMMV
@Ronin
I read something that your Insta and FB accounts could be transferred over with very little interaction - like you might not have really intended to. I have no supporting documentation for that however.
@FireMonkey And we are growing. All be it slowly, we are. And have been for 5+ years. Slowly. 👀
