Good morning all!
Drop biscuits, kielbasa gravy.
My baking soda is old and I didn't get much rise, but still decent biscuits. I popped the one on the side in the skillet and it came out nicely!

Me too and I haven't made him in a while. I didn't bother looking up any recipe. I just started throwing things in a bowl and mixing it up. A cup of AP flour and maybe 1/5 semolina, with a little each of brown sugar, maple syrup, flax seed. A tablespoon of old (2019) baking powder. Time for some new. #CoSoRecipes

Mmmm, so good!
When we were younger, and would go backpacking/camping I made just the Ole flour n water drop biscuits, and would cook eggs with fish we caught, in a cast iron skillet.
Too old to carry all that stuff now!
@FireMonkey Awwww… this is making my cornflakes and almond milk look sad. What a beautiful breakfast, enjoy!
@FireMonkey i made what i think are called drop scones yesterday as we ran out of bread - i too did not look up a recipe! flour with butter rubbed in as per oven scones, then teaspoon of baking soda (also old!) then milk; fried in oil on skillet on the top of the cooker, mine didn't rise much either but very nice all the same!
@FireMonkey
YUM!!
Oh man, that looks so good!
I love old fashioned homemade drop biscuits!
