Day 5 post Fiona. Household water began to flow a couple days ago, full pressure yesterday. Still no power. Intermittent but improving cell svc. Lost an avocado tree at my friend's - these are maybe 1/3 of the recovery. A gigantic ficus tipped over onto another friend's house. I cleared the limbs from stairs for access, then the ones leaning on the roof. Created a shady bower underneath and it should be fine. Forgot pictures. Long gas lines. Need to add the last 4x4 braces to the pergola today.☕
@stueytheround
Thanks, Stuey. It's more inconvenience than safety. I think only four lives were lost versus over 3,000 after Maria - during and after the storm because lack of resources, medication etc. Just staying busy helping out where needed and able. I moved my flight back to Colorado to Sunday from Wednesday. I have a lot to do to tidy things up.
@FireMonkey 👍🏼
I'm so glad you're OK. ♥️
You have been working hard, I hope you're able to relax a little here and there.
@FireMonkey resourceful!
@FireMonkey Thanks for these updates.
@thewebrecluse
You're welcome, and thanks for following along. Hoping that the US can actually help out here but history says not much will happen.
@FireMonkey sadly you're right. Just stay safe as best you can ...
@FireMonkey
Throw on some extra braces on that pergola!
Phew...after that adventure the rest of life is all net?
Not extra. Just the ones that were supposed to be there. I had to use 2x4s put up in a hurry before the hurricane, today I've got time to cut my mortise and tenons.
@FireMonkey 😍 really coming along! Thanks for the shares its been fun to watch
@damselfly59
I guess I need to throw a few pictures into the thread. This isn't threaded with the rest of them. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for following along and enjoying the show.
@FireMonkey Glad you're safe.
