Patio update - it only took 1 beer to assemble the new chairs and table this evening. I have a spray hose at her ready for the dozen neighbors cats that use my patio area and roof as a baño, and plastic spiky things on order to keep them off my wall. I like cats but this is ridiculous. And of course there's 20 "wild" chickens in the abandoned shack next door and dozens on the block. I think my neighbors will be upset if I harvest them. They are pets for them. /sigh
@FireMonkey it looks so good! Wow! I hope the cats leave it alone at least for tonight…
@ToriLRidgewood
They were already lounging in the overhead shade cloth. 🫤
OH DEAR. THIS POST WAS SET TO SELF-DETONATE 💣 💥 🔥

I put coffee grounds out last night. I'll try others as I find them. Thanks!
@FireMonkey Circle of life? Sadly, there are too many cats . . . While you're waiting for the spike strips, maybe scent deterrents could help? David Suzuki suggests used coffee grounds, orange peels, rue, lavender, and pennyroyal: https://davidsuzuki.org/living-green/keep-cats-garden/
