@Gladari A scared puppy is deserving of pity and comfort. Dolt45 should get neither.

@redenigma Echoing the UPS suggestion. If the power doesn't go out, you won't have to wait for it to come back up.

Do you know if it's a PON network? I work for a company that makes ONUs, but I'm not in that division.

AJ is my granddaughter, about 3-1/2 yo. She's maybe 3-foot even, 30 pounds soaking wet.

But she has the bowels of a 400-pound man, who likes to hold it in until he gets to his favorite seat. Because when she downloads the brownload… it's impressive. To say the least.

TIL that planting grape tomatoes and jalapeños in the same container doesn't make the grape tomatoes hot. Darn.

Ah, August. The month when the tomatoes are producing faster than we can eat them! It just might be time to make gazpacho this weekend. And pickles from the cucumbers that went from tiny to enormous overnight…

And these hypocrites "The Orlando Magic, Central Florida's NBA franchise, publicly supports the LGBTQ community"

@FrankCannon @TwiHusband Rubbed down with medium-grit sandpaper and soaked in salt water.

@UmbaSaffire Oh yeahhhhh! I remember hearing a rumor that the band was trying to sing "In the Garden of Eden," but they were so stoned it didn't quite come out that way. :D

Daughter Dearest, a music teacher in the school system, related a story from the music teacher at the 7yo's school.

For music class, they put the special needs students in with the general students. The first graders were being unruly, and the teacher cracked down.

7yo: "Are you not happy?"

Teacher: "Not right now, but thanks for noticing."

After class, he went up, hugged her, and said, "Feel better."

Oh, I also made flatbread this evening. Moe scorch marks than planned, but it's still pretty good.

Saturday:
Is the hydraulic wood splitter running?
⭕ No
⭕ Hell no
✅ Are you effing joking?

Grab maul, whale on wood, load rack (with lots of help from special needs 7yo).

Today:
Laundry and dishes.

Specialization is for insects.

@Timmah1979 When I told her about the offers, she said, "…they are great games and nobody wants to get rid of them." So I think she wants to hang on to them. :D

@Timmah1979 Daughter says she has both the games you mentioned. Their oven crapped out; maybe they could finance a new one with some old games. :D

13yo pulled up the camera app on his phone and waved it at the rainy side window in the car.

@Timmah1979 Oh really? I think my daughter has Windwaker on GameCube.

@TwiHusband He probably torched the place himself after losing so much biz.

@OracleSpirit Nah, it's too flaky to rely on 100%. Wife and grandson both asked me why I didn't get the hydraulic splitter out instead of the maul for last week's firewood chopping?

In the time it would have taken to drag it out, gas it up, and *try* to start it, I had done 2/3 of the pile already.
