Canada talking about banning the flipper because of car theft lmao all because of some fake-a** tiktoks that claim you can use it to empty ATMs and s***. It's like if the gov decided to ban bobby pins cause you can use them to open locks in Fallout IV.

Going from Oaxana to Puerto Escondido via an 8 hour bus ride through treacherous mountain roads was a wild experience that I do not recommend.

Back from Mexico and I kinda miss it already. The juice! The food! The vibes! All vastly superior.

Took a 8 hour bus ride through the mountains to Puerto Escondido and even with the help of industrial strength anti-nausea agents, it was stomach churning. The bus didn't drive off a cliff tho so all is well. I will never do that again.

Visiting Mexico again, in Oaxaca right now. It's amazing. Makes me think of pre-pandemic Brooklyn a little bit, but more brightly colored. It's sad how racist and unhinged the US media coverage is... doesn't reflect reality here.

I'm going to Mexico in a few days and as is often the case I am beset by anxiety about the house and my cats. Who will play with Curie at 2am when she sings at the bottom of the stairs? Will the wind peel the roof of my garage/barn?

Evolutionary psychology is the worst academic field. Even worse than economics. Just complete trash. This concludes my spicy opinions of the day.

If an article contains the words tribalism or polarization, it's gonna be terrible lol

The pipe that moves water out of my basement exploded and the cap on my chimney got ripped off of the roof by the wind. D: This winter has been rough on the house!

Curie is still adorable tho. Radiator baby.

I've gotten so much rain that the pump which keeps my basement from flooding has been running almost non-stop for 5 days. Since the ground is completely saturated and the pump just moves the water back outside, it's stuck in a loop. Really hope it doesn't break down 😓

Depressed AF because it's the winter but I gotta power through so I don't cause a feedback loop with my spouse. Emergency vibes management.

The county I live in made the news again for something absurdly trashy: a group of women booed the special needs kids in the Christmas parade. The article doesn't explicitly state the political leanings of these women but it's exactly what you're thinking.

Without exception, all my friends are pleased to hear Kissinger is not in-fact immortal. Feels good.

RIP Rosalynn Carter. She made America a kinder place for ppl with mental health issues.
