Ugggggh so hung over.

Last night's party was nuts. Ritual magic, a bar, drugs, hired chefs, and ppl setting off fireworks in front of a fire truck. Truly a great 4th of July and I'm paying for it today.

Hopefully nobody got covid from this. I was wearing a mask and it was pretty much all outdoors (getting to the VIP section required going through an apartment).

More fireworks in BK last night than I've ever seen before... Like anywhere under any circumstances. No homes burned down afaik.

And still... these ****ing fireworks

this is just life now

fireworks at 1am every night

I've decided to download Red Dead Redemption 2 and I've pretty much made all the food my fam will eat tomorrow and it's at less than 50%

wtf why is this game so huge

Wonder why everything is getting more expensive but wages have been stagnant for decades? Wonder what happened to pop's pension fund?

Doesn't it seem like something fundamentally is wrong with the system.

It's rich dudes. And not just wall st dudes and weird silicon valley aliens. It's cowboy hat wearing agribusiness chodes and televangelists with private jets.

They would literally strip your body for parts and sell your organs if they thought they could get away with it.

There's a lot of talk of how Trump is evil etc but have y'all ever talked to finance bros? Or old hedge fund dudes?

They don't give a single f*** about you or America. They just want money. And they'll happily doom us all for it.

They are the people actually running the country.

Democrat. Republican. Both dependent on absolute sociopath f***s for their campaign donations. Don't get me wrong. The GOP is evil and it must be destroyed, but establishment dems are very much controlled opposition.

I have stopped caring as much about national politics because honestly, America is f***ed.

Maybe NYC won't be totally f***ed though. There's a possibility to actually improve things here.

The drama involving the NYC budget is pretty amazing stuff. I mean i'm mad as hell because the city council tried to trick us with a shell game. Basically they shifted part of the NYPD budget into a different category while still paying that money to cops.

It was bs.

But Jumaane (the public advocate) apparently has the ability to block some tax collection unless this budget is renegotiated. So the stage is set for a huge legal battle and also probably a real prolonged conflict with the police.

Yo these people literally got thrown out of their home in the middle of the pandemic by a person who assaulted them with a bat and stole their f***ing kittens, which their cat just gave birth to.

They need cash to rescue their kittens, who will suffer greatly without their mom. Help them out if you can plz.

The one really good thing to come out of the budget disaster tonight is Jumaane is actually following through on his threat to block the budget.... like he is playing hardball in a way that the left almost never does. It's amazing to see.

I just learned the NYPD budget is actually over 11 billion dollars because the 6 billion figure doesn't count pensions and judgements.

I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING TO SHOOT BLOOD FROM MY EYES LIKE THOSE WEIRD LIZARDS

The NYPD sent fucking riot police to people who were sitting on the ground watching a critically important city council vote.

Sitting on the ground does not warrant sending in the storm troopers. F*** these pigs.

The NYC budget is a shell game and it is so transparent that all I can conclude is that it's meant to be a big f*** you to the people pushing for police reform.

I am so mad. So very very mad.

I'll support anyone primarying a council member who voted yes on this budget.

I'm not gonna vote for a politician in NY if they weren't at the protests. It's a requirement. And not just like, showed up for a photo op. I want them to have really been in the s***.

Fortunately, that's actually a decent sized group of candidates.

You know what doesn't help a city return to something resembling a normal existence? 50,000 people getting evicted all at the same time.

July 6th is gonna be nuts.

Since I'm in NYC - in regards to state politicians - I definitely hold more animosity for centrist democrats (who hold most of the power) than Republicans who I expect nothing from and thus cannot be disappointed.

Like I have never been as mad at any politician as I was at Schumer for ditching a town hall in BK that he'd promised to attend.

Both senators and the governor have been contacted calling for a patterns and practices investigation into the Aroura police.

I will likely be ignored, but you have to try.

Say his name, Elijah McClain.
