If my house gets reassessed again this year I STG I will leave broken farm equipment on my lawn. This f***ing town wasn't even supposed to reassess last year but they did anyway and decided my house was worth 100k more even though I didn't change anything externally besides building a fenced in garden. 😡
@Expecting_Words This is💯 why I leave the yellowed and dated vinyl siding from 1973 on my house. The amount they are increasing housing values is 🤯
@yogapaddlerun It's pretty nakedly corrupt in my town. We have one of the highest tax burdens *in the entire United States* and it isn't divided evenly at all. My parents paid more in taxes when our yard was covered in broken glass then our neighbors who had a 5 car garage. It was all about connections and having the right politics. But yeah it's killing me. Idk how I am going to afford this.
@Expecting_Words The homeowners insurance is really putting the squeeze on my finances…and with all my neighbors getting new roofs/siding after hail this summer, I’m expecting worse.
