Red bumps on my stomach. They look like bug bites, maybe, but they don't itch. They don't hurt or sting or burn. They are scattered, maybe 7-10 of em. I noticed them last week. They haven't gone away, but haven't worsened or spread either.
Anxiety related? Stress? The fact that they don't itch really has me stumped and a little freaked out. I know, "Go see a Dr". It's difficult to get an appt around here, plus I have severe medical trauma, so Dr's are scary to me. 😖
@GreenCheese Nope! Super randomly scattered.
@Evereigh
Here is a chart showing what some common bug bites look like. Does it look like any of these?
@GreenCheese That chart is helpful, but no, mine don't look like any of those. I almost wish they did, just to have an answer though! Lol Thank you!
@Evereigh
One more question— have you had chicken pox? Vaxed for measles?
@GreenCheese Yes to both!
@Evereigh
Wow it’s not one of the obvious ones. I will try two more possibilities that I know about. The first might apply if you are in a hot climate. There are two types of bumpy heat rash, one is itchy and one is not. See photo from Mayo Clinic below.
The other possibility is a reaction from a different soap, cleaning chemical or laundry detergent than you usually use. That’s more of a long shot.
@Evereigh Might just be some patchy eczema? Sounds like something similar my son gets in patches occasionally (was worse when he was a baby). Aveeno or Eucerin cream usually helps it subside. It flares up usually due to dryness of his skin.
@Evereigh Could it be an allergic reaction? Have you eaten something new or worn a new shirt or anything like that? If you have any Benadryl cream you could try putting that on a couple and see if it helps. And if you have any kind of antifungal cream, try it on a couple others.
I once went to the doc for something unrelated and while I was there I showed him a couple bumps I had, turned out they were spider bites, he told me to use antifungal cream and they were gone in a couple days.
@nonayadambidnes I've been taking a new gummy multi vitamin. That is the only thing that's new in my life. lol I've stopped taking it, since the bumps appeared and am waiting for them to go away before I start taking it again.
@nonayadambidnes I hadn't thought of spider bites. The weather has turned colder overnight recently, so that really could be it....I always assume bites = itchy, but no that's not always the case.
Thank you! I know that may not be it but this makes me feel a lot better. ❤️
@Evereigh I've found 3 spiders in my house in the last 3 days! Or maybe it's the same one just coming back - next time I'll stick a tag in his ear so I can tell if it's the same one lol.
Anyhow I'd just keep an eye on your spots, but try some antifungal ointment or cream if you have some, or maybe some hydrocortisone cream. You've got enough spots to try something different on each and see what works! 😄
Did you recently change laundry detergent, soap, or lotion? It could be keratosis pilaris, which is a harmless skin condition. There are a lot of great answers above also. I hope you figure it out!
@ExecutiveFunction404 Thank you!!
@Evereigh
If they are lined up it could be bed bugs
