I don’t know what they teach in school. Even people trying to be healthy have no idea what they don’t know. I’ll hear someone describe their diet and I’ll ask where they get their protein, and they’ll say, “I eat greens.”

Pathetic. Especially when it’s a doc.
@LnzyHou My BIL (passed on from a tick bite !) Anyhow he was chief of psychiatry at my primary account. We had a lot of coffees together he would always say to me, “ never forgot the doctor who was a C average student still has script writing and a lab coat”. I worked with an NP that put the family practitioners to shame. I looked her up and she is now a PA, but both of her experiences were “ cum laude”.
@LnzyHou My interest office said I have a bromance with my internist. I then borrowed something I heard said about “ rundgren” I said “ Todd is God” hahaha. I also freely admit having a Bromance with him. 😎😎
I am repeatedly surprised/elated by the quality of healthcare in NJ.
Every aspect I’ve experienced from PT, ER, imaging, specialist care is prompt, efficient, compassionate, clear reporting, pharmacy services, follow up etc
I don’t think I have ever experienced this level of professionalism across the board.
@LnzyHou My experiences in the north are so much better with medicine that I drive to New York annually to see that internist who will not take any new patients.
Didn’t realize just how bad it was elsewhere until moving NJ
Most recently, new ortho doc called personally to discuss MRI results three days after MRI. She didn’t have nurse call to set an appt to discuss thus creating another $700 office charge for Medicare.
She had already ordered oral steroid script to my CVS, explained further treatment if needed, ordered to continue traction, said we needn’t meet for 6 weeks.
All in about 15 min call.
Mind-blowing.
I felt heard.
@LnzyHou There’s no free lunch, it’s cheap where I live but the medicine is sketchy. That’s especially true with the “ Bob’s MRI” type nonsense in shopping centers.

No, it was a patient, but one who thought they were eating healthy and mysteriously not losing weight.
@EileenKCarpenter @yogapaddlerun @MidnightRider
I’m referring to my doc
@EileenKCarpenter I have nowhere to judge, I was counting pepperoni as protein when I was fat! Now I’m so thin a lot of nice clothes went to goodwill and I am happy about it.
