@EileenKCarpenter Hale-Bopp was incredible. I was around for the last visit of Halley's but I only saw that on TV.

I couldn't see it from my latitude, but my grandmother saw it in 1910. It was bright enough to see in the daytime then. I wonder if we just got a bad year or if it's been consumed by too many trips around the sun.
