Confidential to anyone thinking of buying a computer watch for an elderly relative who you’re worried about getting lost: Make sure they have clear instructions and sufficient vision/manual dexterity to turn sounds and haptics off during church and back on afterward, or they’re going to stop wearing them the rest of the time, too.

I think there’s some type of do not disturb mode, but I don’t know if you can set it weekly or have it also silence system warnings and not just calls and texts. You can’t silence tornado warnings, I shouldn’t think, but you can set a threshold for which Amber Alerts you want to know about. But it needs to be easy, whatever it is.
