I really want American liberals to take back our flag.
I live in a house built by Jews in 1925 that has terra cotta tiles in the foyer with stamped designs that include a swastika, because in 1925 it meant nothing other than good fortune. (Of course, it’s the best-preserved tile, as everyone has kept throw rugs over it.)
I don’t want the American flag to be polluted by fascists the way the swastika was.
