Adversity, you think you have me by the nuts?!
I'm still standing, fighting, emptying my guts.
Do you think all your obstacles will kill my dreams?
I may be a mortal, flesh and bone, but, nothing is at seems.

You know what a guilt trip is because you've seen it from one or more people close to you for years & years, maybe even decades. You know it shouldn't bother you, but you can't help but feel disrespect & anger than burns in you like a knife, that when retracted, bleeds you dry.

Few things are more damaging to your psyche and self-worth than doing the "right thing" to help care for someone and winding up a prisoner in your own home.

NEW REVIEW!

5 ⭐ Totally Original Kind of Police Story

Involving a little bit of cult/occultic activity, some missing persons mystery, lots of action, and a bold protagonist who just will. not. give. up. “Way of the Hatchet” is a unique kind of crime/mystery novel, and with more books promised, it’s a series I’m willing to follow til the end.

Highly recommended.

When a Clown Fish says, "Go fuck yourself," it's actually foreplay.

Yes, I write dark fiction, but I must confess, sometimes I do it under the light of a full moon as my Daemon & Muse fuck like bunnies under my favorite Honeysuckle & eat strawberries & vine-ripened tomatoes as they mock & laugh at me for drinking cheap wine and eating peanuts.

I feel my dad when I'm pensive, when I wash my hard-working hands, when I see a crooked tree clinging for life on a rockface. I sense his presence when a dragonfly or kingfisher passes on by. I can still smell his honest sweat, a sweet smell of toil & a job well done. I love him.

I so miss my dad. Lost him just over a year ago. It feels like yesterday, or perhaps it's been an eternity.
This photo, with my nephew (whom I also miss, but, thankfully, is still with us) was taken 16 years ago when we were whale watching off the coast of Inverness.
I love you dad 😢🙂💟

My sincere admiration and gratitude to all the athletes, coaches, trainers, volunteers, organizers, fans, - and the city of Paris, France - etc. for making the 2024 Olympics THE BEST OLYMPIC GAMES EVER!

When someone says to me, "Technically speaking," I see them as Borg.

Racism is taught, learned, and accepted.
With education, travel, and an open mind, it can be rejected. I know, because I grew up "innocently" steeped in racism and homophobia.
Then, I grew up.
Let's hope the post-November 6th world will embrace introspection & a better Humanity.

Shelob and Sméagol have a one night stand.

Who sneaks out of bed first in the wee hours of the morning?

The Sound

Loud is the volume.
Message, all too clear.
Echoing in billions of soundless ears.
Gaia's plea to survive, humanity included.
In a world with trees and compassion denuded.
Mass extinction shivers down the spine of all.
Shaken off as we celebrate the Great Fall.

Racism isn't over, it just rested a while.

Evil needs enablers, otherwise it would just be in a straitjacket, yelling at walls, choking at pillows, and profaning itself at an undeserved toilet.
