In my sons’ teenage years, their friend Dan had a terrible home life. Husband & I became legal guardians & suddenly we had three teenage boys to house, feed, wrangle etc.
We lost track of Dan for decades. Last week he found me. Although he lives in MO, knowing he is well heals a wound in my heart.
We loved him like our own 💜
