@fatinah I don't want my child to go to school with a weapon in each classroom. The problem isn't that teachers aren't armed. The problem is that this is something that has to be considered. Maybe we should be more picky about who we give weapons to, not say "well just shoot back"

Additionally, this is not what teachers signed up for. I am 100% certain when they were getting their degree, they weren't wondering when they got to start weapons training.

Fix the problem, don't make more.

It's become a thing now for Republican candidates to take videos of themselves shooting at gun ranges, presumably to get that man-of-the-people vibe.

But you look in their eyes as they're squeezing off shot, and you suddenly realize: this is the only time in their lives that they've been really happy.

Standing there with the power of life and death in their hand, imagining lighting up all the people they rant about on Fox: this is the pure distillate of their fear and hate and aggression.

18 children who will NEVER sleep in their beds tonight, never see their graduation, never play in their school yards, never see their parents again, nor play with their pets. 3 adults killed. 21 grieving families who will never see their loved ones again. WHAT A TRAGEDY! I hope President Biden signs an Executive Order to halt the sale of ALL ASSAULT WEAPONS!
