This is pretty funny.
This by-election candidate was the deputy mayor until her Liberal Party (conservative) couldn't manage to get her candidate registration in time to get her on that ballot, so now they're trying to parachute her into an electorate she doesn't live in to replace their former representative there who had to quit in disgrace after being charged with sex crimes against minors.
The locals aren't having it. I just saw dozens of signs like this while driving around today.

So, it turns out that 319,000 or so people bought the "Dynamically Priced" tickets, and they're now saying there's no space left for more shows.
If we say the average price came to $300 or so, that means Oasis and Ticketmaster will take in $95.7 Million or $US 64.3 Million for 5 Australian shows - if they can keep themselves from trying to kill one another for that long.
Not a bad superannuation fund I guess 🤷♂️
FWIW, I just finished testing all my hardware and a sample of plugins from every developer I've bought from and everything worked just fine.

I got sick of waiting for software companies to test their stuff Mac OS updates after skipping a whole cycle and updated to Sequoia this morning.
Everything I've tried so far works great.
Pro Tools, Ableton, Logic, Universal Audio Luna, Waves, Universal Audio, Izotope, Slate, Native Instruments, all just fine 🤷♂️

My 84yo mum went for a routine imaging test today and the cost was entirely covered by the Australian Medicare system.
The results were instantly sent to her General Practitioner who sent her a text saying that all is well on that front even without a visit (that would have been covered by Medicare anyway).
Yes, we pay taxes to have it, and it’s not even close to perfect, but socialised medical care if pretty f****** good IMHO.
So, the dude's a "SovCit" T**** supporter from Nevada. It's also just possible that the local sheriff might be engaging in a bit of hyperbole to make himself and his department seem a bit more intrepid than they might otherwise be, so maybe a big grain of salt is in order...:

The big annual endurance race is on at Bathurst today, and I can't help but feel a tiny pang of loss because we don't make cars here anymore, so it's all Mustangs and Camaros these days.
We used to call this category "Taxi racing" because the cars had to be based on the production model sedans, which also happened to be the cars of choice for taxis. But taxis didn't have 5l V8s generating 650 hp.
To be fair, the coupes do look much cooler hooning up and down the mountain. 🤷♂️ 😂
Actually, the more I think about it ⬆️, I have more power than the King could ever have over whether Australia becomes a republic or not because, unlike him, I'm an Australian citizen and have to vote in any referendum.
Foreigners like His Maj can't get on the electoral roll and, therefore, can make whatever proclamations they like but ultimately have no substantive say in the matter. 👍
