Turns out if you just plug the Tele into a Marshall JTM Studio 20 and turn the volume up to a bit over 9 or so...

Had to pop up to Summer Bay* this arvo.

* Itโ€™s not actually called Summer Bay IRL but IYKYK๐Ÿ˜‰.

And, yes, thatโ€™s them shooting so look out for fabulous looking people in bikinis but with goosebumps from the cold wind in upcoming episodes. ๐Ÿฅถ

Oh cโ€™mon!

This is silly.Itโ€™s supposed to be spring!! Where did the 25ยฐ go?!? ๐Ÿ˜ก

Jeepers. Not very spring-like today!

The apparent temperature is 5.1ยบC, and it feels like we're gonna blow away with wind from the south gusting up to 82 km/h ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Being super-confident is, of course, famously how a chap might feel if he had indeed been partaking....

So, because Nelson has to vote by law, he needed to make a choice and I reckon the right one.

The independent council has been good, and I'm glad to see the die-hard conservatives at least recognise and vote for them.

I โค๏ธ everything about this image.

Voting is compulsory here, and the polling places are usually public school or church halls, so they seize on the opportunity to make a few $ by selling 'Democracy Sausages' to the voters.

These kids are being introduced to democracy in precisely the right way: an overcooked sausage on a single slice of the cheapest white bread - because that maximises the profits for the school P&C - served on a bit of paper towel.

Makes me proud to be Australian ๐Ÿ˜Š

It's been a long time since 1987, but this is still one of the most outstanding posters ever made.

On my way to do my democratic duty and vote in the local council election.

Even though this is just about the lowest stakes election an election can be since the Liberal Party - which is, confusingly, the conservative one here - forgot to register any candidates ๐Ÿ˜‚, I love voting.

Every time I walk to the polling place, I canโ€™t help thinking about all the people who bled so I have the right to vote. I owe them.

This is much more important film than I thought itโ€™d be.

Not least the politics.

But the scenes in which Meryl Streep plays against Tom Cruise. And the gravitas of Robert Redford.

Hmm, the online betting company I use has chosen a new favourite following the ๐Ÿค”

Looks like the independent Australian Electoral Commission has officially decided that where I live is now in a different federal electorate. They do it purely by population, and there's no opportunity for partisan gerrymandering, so that's cool.

It's also cool that I simply switch from one excellent independent MP, Zali Steggall (l), to another, Dr Sophie Scamps (r), so I don't even need to figure out new voting preferences ๐Ÿ‘

"Standing at the top of the tower of Swiftegard with fellow wizard Kelce the Grey, Swift told her army of Swifites that โ€˜a new power is rising.โ€™"
