On my way to do my democratic duty and vote in the local council election.
Even though this is just about the lowest stakes election an election can be since the Liberal Party - which is, confusingly, the conservative one here - forgot to register any candidates 😂, I love voting.
Every time I walk to the polling place, I can’t help thinking about all the people who bled so I have the right to vote. I owe them.
