A friend of mine, @RatNeurons, decried the imbalance and lack of veracity for news sources he found online.

He did something about it and created #FactLayer for the sites he frequented. I helped convert the code to allow it to work with CoSo.

It works with Firefox and all chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, etc).

If you value news trustworthiness, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

You've found our little oasis on the Internet.

We're different here. We value conversation. We value good faith debates. We value friendships.

There have been 4 waves of migrations to CoSo.

The initial wave when Jester opened the doors.

The @wilw wave when he quit Twitter.

The @Stonekettle wave.

And now the Elon wave is bigger than the 3 previous ones combined.

Of course others have tricked in between waves, and that's a significant amount too.

To all the new comers, you can safely ignore all the 520 / 512 messages you see popping up on the bottom left.

That means that J is tweaking the knobs to make CoSo work better (sometimes in response to active attacks from hackers trying to shut us down).

While this is happening, you won't be able to post or reply. Just relax and hang out, most of the time things will resume working just fine within 2 to 5 mins.

To all the new people a little shell shocked by the immediate greetings of "hello" and "welcome" in response to your first post.. And to those more surprised by how friendly and supportive CoSo is.. We have spent the past five years creating and maintaining a friendly environment of respect, support, compassion, laughter, shared experiences, exchange of knowledge, pets, music, art, books, crafts and hobbies, holidays and recipes.. We are a huge extended #CoSoFamily . This is our way.

@DocLaing @Krysdammit Yeah... that is bonkers. Not looking forward to the terminal decline.

Do they not realize that:
a) cars are only a part of the world's CO2 emissions (nowhere near a majority),

b) electric cars are highly polluting to manufacture,

c) cars kill 1.35 million people globally every year,

d) electric cars still produce tire pollution, take up excessive space, are inefficient (both in terms of rolling resistance and max passenger-to-weight ratio), &

e) much, much more... ?

I love it here, here if you have 1 follower or 20,000 matters to no one. I wanted to talk to celebrities, that's why I went on Twitter, and it worked, some celebrities even talked back, but, I found someone many friends there, and then Musk-exodus happened, and we came here, & then, come to find out, there's so many great folks here, some who have been here for years. Guys I'm so lucky I found so many cool people. I hope I have something to contribute.
