One thing I would like to see happen with social security? Bi-annual COLA. We fall behind every year. A raise in July would really help us keep up with this constant inflation.
@DocLaing Yes. Anyone who disagrees should have to spend 5 years living on just over $800/month (and that's not counting Medicare hikes for no real reason.)

Yup. My premium keeps increasing and the deductible more than doubled last year.
I hardly ever buy groceries at full retail anymore. I use paper coupons, digital coupons, and always check the reduced meat section. If I don’t save at least $40 each time I shop I’m doing it wrong.
@DocLaing It keeps ringing in my head that it's supposed to be our time to relax. Instead, it's an immense struggle. We seem to be disposable, once they're taken everything they can from us. Go figure.

It is. So much so that I take every opportunity to keep those dollars in my pocket.
@DocLaing So do I. Unfortunately the food price hikes this year mean I sometimes have to do without anyway. Still, all things considered, I would not go back to work for my ex-boss (and that's all that's available here.)
