With decent gear, I'm taking better snapshots than I did with my phone or 'point N shoot' cameras. 🙂
But they're still just snapshots.
Here's one of the first shots I took recently at a pumpkin patch. I got out of the car, and it was 'point N shoot'.
The pic is sort of memorable to me...because I was there and experienced it.
But it's really kinda boring. 🙁
This is so painful. It's been running for 12 hours (in a test environment). Based on existing table data, it would be an empty partition. I was hoping the operation we be a near-instant meta data only change. 😦
Sigh. In 20+ years, I have never used SQL Server table partitioning in production. Do I really want to start now? 🤷♂️
Other sites have some form of multi-factor authentication. Here's an example from #Github.
Again, it's nice to have this layer of protection. But it comes at the cost of convenience.
I tried something new today. Instead of taking a camera bag and all my gear (1st image), I 'traveled light' with two prime lenses (2nd image).
Lens 1: Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R
Lens 2: Fujifilm XF 50mm f/2 R
Switching back and forth between lenses is already a pain. It's more difficult without the bag, which helps keep everything protected.
I shoulda' just taken a zoom lens. But I really like the prime lenses. /shrug
The Central Florida skies cleared and the stars were finally out.
Here's my first ever attempt at astrophotography. Nothing special here, I just pointed the camera skyward and tried a handful of different aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings. I like these three the best. I'll probably change me mind, tho.

I got in a few hundred shots with my new Fujifilm XF 23mm F/2R WR lens over the weekend. The 23mm focal length is a lot more versatile than I realized.
I can see why someone would choose it for an all-purpose "walking around" lens.
