@1000dannyboy I don’t think so, mine shows the delete option. That’s ok though because Apple Music has the best versions of music. They also pay artists more than any other platform.

@MidnightRider If you use the particle news app(iOS only), it offers the story from multiple sources. It’s actually my favorite new app.

Apple should be free to run their company as they see fit and not be penalized by foreign governments because they don’t see it that way. (4/4)

I don’t have a problem with choice, but that’s what Android is there for. Forcing Apple to open up their OS is bullshit. If you want freedom and customization, you buy Android. If you want security and optimization, you buy iOS, it’s that simple.

The problem is, Europeans seem to want their cake and eat it too and I completely understand why Apple has been giving y’all such a hard time. I would too, if after a decade of use, I was blindsided by this nonsense. (3/4)

Personally, I’m not a fan of the EU making iOS act like Android. What you call fun, I call a mess waiting to happen, and it will. The more outside of the iOS ecosystem people venture, the more likely you’re going to run into problems along the way. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. (2/4)

@ecksmc @amarand You can’t remove system apps from an Android phone either. You can disable them but you can’t remove them. There was a time, with root, you could. But now that option is gone as well. (1/4)

PSA: If you’re looking for a very nice news app for iOS, I suggest you check out particle. No ads and no subscription, though this is actually an app that I feel is worth one. It’s currently in TestFlight if you want to try it out.

Also, for a podcast players, I have switched to downcast. While other podcast players may have more options or look better, this seems to be the only one that allows you to download every episode in one shot. I’ve got 1TB of onboard storage so space is not an issue.

@amarand I can respect that, but you lose the cohesion when you start using third party apps.

Are all OEM’s required to do this or is this something Apple did on their own so they can have some peace and quiet.😅

@WeThePeople I’m trying to remember the first three. Far from home, homecoming and one more?

So, apparently Apple is allowing EU residents to delete system apps. Why dafuq would you want to do that?

Europeans..🤦🏻‍♂️

@danielbsmith @MidnightRider the world I want to live in doesn’t involve either of these clowns, I’m not interested in choosing the lesser of two evils.

@CanisVeritum I think they’re too stupid to be either, you’re giving them more credit than they deserve. 😂

@TheNewsOwl I think they’ve taken one too many shots to the head...

@th3j35t3r this generation has no clue what that is, but it traumatized the shit out of me as a kid.😭

What custom client are my iOS peeps using for CS? As of now, mammoth seems to be the most functional but I am always open to suggestions. Thank you.

@th3j35t3r how to tell you’re getting old, feels more accurate.😝
