The second would require ratification of the ERA and would also codify the majority of LGBTQ rights with respect to adoption, marriage, etc.
The first isn't what you think, but it does include many healthcare concerns - we need to establish a Constitutional right to data privacy. Not to be bought, sold, and analyzed without consent or affirmative legislation.
Use of data should be the exception, not the default.
My data should not change ownership when a company is sold or under new leadership. It's my data.
Sure, you can change the TOS going forward, but retroactive? Nope. Still, that's what is happening.
Buy enough data points and you can micro target me for ads, investigations, harassment, stalking, any number of things.
And long cookie acceptance lists? Still puts the burden on the user. Go read the changes to our privacy policy or TOS, same thing.
