ooooooooh... he/she is beautiful. what color is it? Looks almost black in the photo... look at those beautiful ears!
@QueenOfEverything it's a taupish mule deer, but it's in the shadows, hiding.
What a beautiful deer. I thought the shadows were making it darker. I know the deer can be a problem in the garden, but they're so wonderful to watch.
I'm in an urban neighborhood, no deer. Everyone's fenced for the most part. But we have giant fir & cedar trees all over so we get a lot of smaller frens that have been living in this area decades before the humans took over.

So, I initially didn't realize this was a reply and was struggling with how to point out that's a trash panda and not a deer. 🦝

Hence the struggle, LOL!
I once took a friend home with me for the college break. City girl. We're driving along down the country roads and she points and squeals in glee, "Look! A pig!". It was a sheep.
Best I could do without wrecking the car laughing was to choke out, "Baa Baa says the sheep." in a See and Say voice. 🤭
@QueenOfEverything @peeppeepcircus
Shorn sheep don't look much like book sheep, but I would have thought goat as a closer miss. She did get to meet all the barnyard animals during the trip, though. 🐖🐑🐐🐄🐓
@Cosmichomicide @peeppeepcircus
At this point, we could probably set aside your role as corrector of animal misidentification... pigs, trash panda... but I wonder if this city girl might have been looking at another creature or personn... not a sheep.
Ya just never know on those city girl dates... (former city girl)
