Exactly! I canvassed for politicians and for causes (Yup, a whole summer canvassing for Greenpeace - still have the clipboard and t-shirt).
Canvassing is about pure retail connection politics. You gotta believe. And it takes time to organize believers.
Elon thinks it's like hiring warehouse workers - a money problem.
And, another thing - know how much enthusiasm and loyalty you get from a PAID canvasser?
None.
